This grant is one of three GIFT IX funding opportunities available to Union County Foundation. Through GIFT IX, Lilly Endowment has allocated up to $271.5 million to help Indiana community foundations strengthen their ability to respond to local challenges and opportunities—both now and in the future.

TRIPLE YOUR COMMUNITY IMPACT

Sixty percent of UCF’s Matching Fund Grant, or $450,000, will support the growth of our unrestricted endowment. These permanent funds provide flexible resources that allow the Foundation to respond to Union County’s most pressing needs and invest in opportunities that move our community forward.

During the matching period, Lilly Endowment will provide $2 for every $1 contributed to UCF’s unrestricted endowment—tripling the impact of every gift.

DOUBLE YOUR SUPPORT FOR TRANSFORMATIONAL PROJECTS

UCF will designate the remaining 40 percent, or $300,000, to support approved projects and programs benefiting the Union County Public Library and the Union Square Development Project.

Lilly Endowment will provide $1 for every $1 raised for these initiatives during the matching period—doubling each donor’s impact.
